The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) completes a full role delineation study (RDS) approximately every 4 years for the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) examination.

As of July 1, 2007 the content outline changes were applied to the CEN Exam and as of July 15, 2007 the changes were applied to the CEN-RO by Internet Based Test (IBT).
