The ENAF State Council Challenge campaign concluded June 30, 2007, with estimated total contributions of $37,756, 114 percent over the goal of $1 per member ($33,000). Thirty-seven percent (19 ENA state councils) participated. The Illinois ENA State Council won the two areas of competition: Total contribution of $7,010 and the per capita of $5.68 per member. Other state councils contributing $5,000 and more include the California State Council, $5,714, Pennsylvania State Council, $5,455 and New Jersey State Council at $5,000. The Kentucky ENA State Council was second in the per capita category with a $2,300 contribution ($5.28 per member). Funds donated to the ENAF State Council Challenge campaign support the 2008 ENAF Scholarship and Research Grant program for emergency nurses.
