Anywhere, Anytime, CEN-RO Internet-based Testing!

 
Certification has never been easier! Starting September 20, 2004, CEN-RO by Internet- based Testing (IBT) will offer online testing for certification. With CEN-RO, testing to become a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN®) or Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN™) through the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN®) can be completed virtually anywhere and anytime. Easy online registration and exam accessibility, a 30-day testing window, and immediate test results are just a few of the advantages of this new service. Best of all, there is no more need for travel or appointments. It's that simple! Below is some general information about this new testing program:

* With a focus on learning, this new method of renewal encourages you to use
resources. A reference list can be found at www.ena.org/BCEN. However, other references may be used to complete the exam.
* The Internet-based exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions and
follows the outline of the CEN exam.
* The passing score (or successful completion) for this tool is 116 correct
answers.
* Upon successful completion of the exam, 30 CECH will be rewarded.
* This Internet-based exam must be requested a minimum of 60 days prior to
CEN certification expiration. Thirty days are allowed to complete the exam
after registering. The exam must be completed at least four weeks prior to
the CEN certification expiration date.
* To be eligible for CEN certification, applicants must have a current
unrestricted license of nursing certificate that is equivalent to a
registered nurse in the United States or its territories.
* Applicants must also be a current CEN with expiration no more than eight
months and no less than two months from the time of request.
